TTT3WWelcome to another Top Ten Tuesday! Thank you to The Broke and the Bookish for hosting!

This week, the topic is:

Top Ten Character Names I Love or Top Ten Unusual Character Names.

This was super exciting for me because I love names. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I love how they can add so much depth and history to a character. It also can make me not trust or like a character either, if by some chance I know someone with that same name. Of course, that’s silly. But how many times have I read a book where the person’s name was &^% and I just couldn’t trust him!

Let’s go for favorites.

Gansey from The Raven Cycle- Old money mixed with rebellious youth. Gansey is short for his full name, but let’s just call him Gansey.

Aislinn from Wicked Lovely series- I love that name. The character, not so much.

Julian Carax from The Shadow of the Wind- the most important name of all in this book as it’s the name of an author whose books are sought after. And then destroyed.

Rieker from The Faerie Ring series- Hidden identity, loner and mysterious. The character too. 🙂

Amelia Gray from The Graveyard Queen series- Doesn’t it just sound haunting and dark?

Matthew Clairmont from All Souls Trilogy- an old sounding name, for a very old vampire

Maxim deWinter from Rebecca- Classic

Any of the funny names The Ward comes up with for the BDB series including Wrath, Xhex, Tohrment, Rehvenge…. I could go on.

The Darkling from The Grisha trilogy- an eerie name for a dark and complicated character

Jane Eyre from Jane Eyre- because how could you go wrong with a classic.

And pictures for your viewing pleasure.

And what is you TTT?
