Hello fellow RIP readers! Welcome to my wrap up post! Thanks again to Stainless Steel Droppings for hosting this awesome challenge!
How did you do?
It’s been kinda strange to read anything dark and creepy lately as the last two months in Southern California have been pretty warm and incredibly sunny. While last week showed a bit of mist and clouds in the morning, it still didn’t feel like Autumn and I had a hard time getting into the Halloween mood. Usually that doesn’t happen for me, but this year was a little strange. Finally this week, the weather turned cloudy and misty! I was happy to sit in cafes this week and read for my lunch break. And after work. And before bed…
Anyway, I did pretty well considering at the moment, I have the attention span of a one of my bunnies. Yes, I had two months and I thought I would read more. But you know, life got in the way. And so did sunny summer weather.
The Goal: Read 4 books
And…
I did it!
Read:
A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrester (YA)
Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost (paranormal romance)
Twice Tempted by Jeaniene Frost (paranormal romance)
Carnival of Souls by Melissa Maar (YA)
Between The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea byย April Genevieve Tucholke (YA)
Asylum by Madeleine Roux- DNF
There was a lot more YA I read in this category than I thought I was going to. And sadly, I didn’t get around to Miss Peregrine (again!) this year. But I might just pick it up in November because I don’t want to be behind when book two comes out next year!
How did you do?

Thanks Pam! Not too bad actually! ๐
Congrats on meeting your reading goals, despite adverse weather! Though it does feel a little odd to talk about warm and sunny weather as adverse…
Cheryl, Totally agree! Thanks for commenting!
