It’s the most wonderful time of the year…but not for Maelyn Jones. She’s living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions.

But perhaps worst of all, this is the last Christmas Mae will be at her favorite place in the world—the snowy Utah cabin where she and her family have spent every holiday since she was born, along with two other beloved families. Mentally melting down as she drives away from the cabin for the final time, Mae throws out what she thinks is a simple plea to the universe: Please. Show me what will make me happy.

The next thing she knows, tires screech and metal collides, everything goes black. But when Mae gasps awake…she’s on an airplane bound for Utah, where she begins the same holiday all over again. With one hilarious disaster after another sending her back to the plane, Mae must figure out how to break free of the strange time loop—and finally get her true love under the mistletoe.

Jam-packed with yuletide cheer, an unforgettable cast of characters, and Christina Lauren’s trademark “downright hilarious” (Helen Hoang, author of The Bride Test) hijinks, this swoon-worthy romantic read will make you believe in the power of wishes and the magic of the holidays.

This was a very cute and warm romantic comedy from best selling authors Christina Lauren.

I like Mae and how she grew through the book. She’s stuck in a bad job, living back with her parents, and pining away from the boy she has loved since forever. The holiday changes everything when she starts doing a crazy time loop travel thing and has to confront her own choices and decide what will make her happy. She finally takes charge and that’s when everything falls into place. Because she made it.

Andrew is of course the perfect love interest for her. There were some really sweet and romantic moments that were cheesy and natural and I really like how they were already friends and automatically could build on something more.

That said, I feel like the time loop thing was underdeveloped. It happened a couple of times at the beginning throwing Mae into this panic. But then it was sorta forgotten about for the rest of the book. I would have liked to have her do it one last time at the end, like somehow she could finally get it all prefect that one last time, and enjoy those really sweet moments again. I mean who doesn’t want to relive all the best times?

Overall though I think this was an enjoyable read for me. While I still miss the smutty and dramatic Christina Lauren, I think with this one they’ve finally hit their stride.

It was everything you come to enjoy about Christina Lauren. A fun and lively setting with multiple characters you could get behind. A little romance.
