Even if you have ALL THE BOOKS, I’m willing to bet you still want more. Oh, is that just me?

My book loving friends and I have lots of books so when birthday time rolls around, the last thing I want to get them are more books. I know I know. I still love and appreciate book presents, but usually unless I have been to their house recently (and right now, that’s not happening) I don’t KNOW what they have in their library. So why run the risk of buying them a book they already own?

Here’s a small list of items to consider as the holidays approach. I think any book lover will adore them!

  1. I came across this lovely company when in one of my obsessive searches for all things Boyfriend Material. Longhand Pencils are both charming and functional, perfect for that person who has everything and has every book. Their pencils are book or film related and so you’ll find something for everyone in your life!

2. These beautiful Classics Collection from Lit Joy Crate are a MUST HAVE. Sure, the first one P&P is the only one out right now but you can pre-order all three! I just bought my P&P copy (isn’t it beautiful!) and I’m dying to get my grubby hands on the Jane Eyre copy coming in 2021. (I’m not a Wuthering Heights fan but may buy it anyway to complete the set.)

3. This lovely portable bookstand is a great gift. It looks functional and cute. I love reading and knitting at the same time so I think this might be a great present for people who enjoy multitasking.

4. Years ago, my old boss gave me for Christmas a lovely cut book of my initial. I still have it in my library and every time I look at it, I think of her. Now you can get one too here. Perfect for the friend who loves books but also, you don’t know what to get them because they have every book imaginable.

5. The game is afoot! This lovely lit scarf of Sherlock Holmes is just the thing to keep your friend cosy.

6. These beautiful cloud bookends are a MUST. I love them so much and they’re perfect for your friend, their children, their grandma, anyone with a sense of whimsy.

7. Wonderbly does a fantastic job of personalized children’s books. My daughter has a bunch of them and they’re lovely. Cause who doesn’t want to be the heroine in their own story?

8. Book Pajamas are a fun way to cuddle up.

9 I love me some Book of the Month. Not only are they carefully curated selections that you get to choose from, but you can also get your hands on older releases for a good price! I really enjoy choosing my book every month, and I like it that it’s just the books and not a lot of other stuff I don’t want/need. Subscription boxes can be particular, but I think this one is a good general subscription box that really lets lots of different people enjoy.

10. Start a collection! Any book lover will tell you that they most likely have multiple copies of their favorites. Whether it’s the Bronte sisters, Dickens or Austen, your favorites are your favorites. Sometimes it’s an exclusive B&N edition or a signed copy, sometimes just a new dust jacket. Either way, find out their favorite and start a new collection for them. I love love love these beautiful Austen Penguin cloth collections. Honestly though any of the Penguin cloth collection books are perfect. Buy a couple and your book work will love them. Puffin Classics also does a set as well which are colorful and lovely. And Juniper Books does jackets and books for you to cover your older dust jackets with new art!

There you have it! Lots of ideas for the holidays coming up. Happy shopping!
