Ravenspire series by C.J. Redwine

The Shadow Queen

The Wish Granter

The Traitor Prince

I’ve heard such good things about this series. It sounds wonderful and I really want to dive in. There have been really wonderful reviews for this series and I have the first three. I think this will be the series to take with me on vacation. I have a feeling I won’t want to stop reading it, and it’s a good thing Grandma and Grandpa will be around so I can get in some much needed reading time!

Noctis Magicae Series by Sylvia Izzo Hunter

The Midnight Queen

Lady of Magick

A Season of Spells

I have to admit, the covers are what got me. Years ago I was fortunate enough to snag the first book in the series and one of my friends read it and loooooved it. That’s enough for me (this friend has similar taste in books). And also… THE COVERS!! SWOOOON

The Glittering Court trilogy by Richelle Mead

The Glittering Court

Midnight Jewel

Emerald Sea

I’m a big fan of Richelle Mead (who isn’t??), especially her Vampire Academy series. (If you haven’t read it, and love paranormal, what are you waiting for??) So when this trilogy popped up a couple of years ago I was hungry for it. Sadly I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. But I did see Richelle the other day and she signed my first two books in the trilogy so I’m moving this to the top!

I especially like how their are each their own narration, woven into the same story. I’m excited to see how it plays out!

The Heirs of Watson Island trilogy by Martina Boone

Compulsion

Persuasion

Illusion

Creepy southern tale! I’m saving this for October time when the weather will hopefully be a bit cooler! I’m excited for some creepy paranormal bits along with romance. OMG I wish I had more reading time!!

Paranormalcy Trilogy by Kiersten White

Paranormalcy

Supernaturally

Endlessly

Honestly, Kiersten White is one of my favorite authors and it all started with Paranormalcy. But I never got a chance to read the sequel and last book and now it’s been so long, I have to re-read the first! That’s not a bad thing because I don’t really remember what happened and I’m not sure exactly why I’ve been putting it off. I’m sure it will be just as amazing as I remember though.

That said, I am going to devour this trilogy towards the end of the summer. I want it close to Halloween as possible!

The Queen of the Tearling by by Erika Johansen

The Queen of the Tearling

The Invasion of the Tearling

The Fate of the Tearling

I’ve heard mixed things about the trilogy but I’m still really interested in reading it for myself. The covers are gorgeous and the first book’s synopsis really grabbed me. I’m hoping the books include deep world building, epic romance and lots of magic. We’ll see. They do look pretty on my shelf…

Shades of Magic trilogy by V.E. Schwab

A Darker Shade of Magic

A Gathering of Shadows

A Conjuring of Light

I really enjoyed the first book and currently reading the second book. I love this world that Schwab created. Kell is one of my favorite characters, his darker side really shines through in this second book while in the first he was more of a tortured soul. This time around, it seems like he’s embracing more of his dark side and how can that be bad? I love a good morally torn hero! Not to mention Holland… (shivers)

Falling Kingdoms series by Morgan Rhodes

Falling Kingdoms

Revel Spring

Fathering of Darkness

Frozen Tides

Crystal Storm

Immortal Reign

The series is over so now I feel safe to binge read!

Truthfully though I’ve been avoiding reading this series because I’m so involved in the series Throne of Glass that I am afraid I’ll start getting them both confused. That said, because this series is over, I feel like now I can finally read through them and have a complete arc without having to suffer from hurry up and wait for the next book syndrome.

I finally broke down and bought the last book in the series too so there’s no excuse not to binge read. After my current magic trilogy I’m reading, I’ll be starting this series for the summer.

Glamourist Histories series by Mary Robinette Kowal

Shades of Milk and Honey

Glamour in Glass

Without A Summer

Valour and Vanity

Of Noble Family

I really loved the first one but never got around to reading the rest. I have the next three queued up so I’m hoping I can dive right back in. Magic in Jane Austen time. What’s not to love?!?

Hmmm, I seem to gravitate more towards magic in my books. And magic in Regency time is special! I may have to re-read the first book again to remind myself of all the characters but I remember enjoying the first book so much I don’t think it will be a chore!

The School of Good and Evil trilogy by Soman Chainani

The School of Good and Evil

A World without Princes

The Last Ever After

The book sounded interesting but what really sold it for me was hearing the author speak. I thought he was very well spoken, intelligent and funny. I bought a copy of the first book and it’s sat on my shelf now for years. I want to finally read this trilogy! The second spin off series has started too. I love boarding school stories and I am hoping this is a refreshing take on the usual good vs evil trope.
