The Winner’s Kiss Blog Tour!

It’s finally here!!! Ah! I can hardly contain my excitement. The Winner’s Kiss by Marie Rutkoski is finally here! The wait is over! (Falls down swooooning)

This blog tour is so much fun because I get to answer some wonderful questions such as:

What is my favorite literary kiss?

There are so many amazing kisses to choose from!

I’ll have to go with the one that immediately sprung to mind though. The one that I still think of as The Greatest Kiss of all time.

And that would of course be The Kiss in The Princess Bride by William Goldman.

In fact, only Goldman can describe this kiss accurately: “Since the invention of the kiss, there have been 5 kisses that have been rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind”

Who is kissing?

Wesley, our dashing farm boy turned pirate and his one true love, Buttercup.

Why is it my favorite?

This greatest kiss of all time kiss is so satisfying! It’s the promise of a happily ever after. (That’s what I like to think! Obviously, if you’ve read the book, you know that they still had more adventure after this kiss!)

Also, I have very fond memories of watching this film with my Dad. I think it’s one of the first films we watched together that he really wanted me to see because he just knew I would love it so much. After I fell in love with the film, I read the book and loved it too!

Side note: The Film is amazing/beautiful/epic/fabulous/one of my favorites!

And the book is equally as engrossing/romantic and exciting. Read the book and watch the movie. Neither disappoint!

What kiss do you hope will occur in Marie Rutkoski’s The Winner’s Kiss?

Kestrel and Arin of course! I like how each of the main characters has their own adventure independently of each other. And I am really hoping for a happy ending for these two. They totally deserve it!
