Talking to other people isn't Kate Bailey's favorite activity. She'd much rather be out on the lake, soaking up the solitude and sunshine. So when her best friend, Alana, convinces Kate to join their high school's podcast, Kate is not expecting to be chosen as the host. Now she'll have to answer calls and give advice on the air? Impossible.

But to Kate's surprise, she turns out to be pretty good at the hosting gig. Then the podcast gets in a call from an anonymous guy, asking for advice about his unnamed crush. Kate is pretty sure that the caller is gorgeous Diego Martinez, and even surer that the girl in question is Alana. Kate is excited for her friend ... until Kate herself starts to develop feelings for Diego. Suddenly, Kate finds that while doling out wisdom to others may be easy, asking for help is tougher than it looks, and following your own advice is even harder.

Kasie West's adorable story of secrets, love, and friendship is sure to win over hearts everywhere.

Review:

Kasie West is back with a truly sweet and fun summer romance that had me glued to the page.

Kate’s best friend Alana talks her into doing a podcast class. Little does Kate know that she’s the one who will be dishing out advice to the high school population. Everything from homework to bullying and even love? And what if one caller has someone specific in mind that he’s calling about?

I haven’t read a lot of books by West but this one was totally charming. I love the light tone and fun topic. Doing a podcast myself with a friend (knitting), I was immediately hooked into a class about it and a reluctant host. (I was pretty reluctant when I first started too!) Lucky for us, Alana and Kate have a solid friendship, even when Kate starts having feelings for Alana’s crush.

There’s obviously romance and a lot of near misses in the book, but the shining thing is Kate and Alana’s friendship. I liked how solid they were and how they supported each other. There wasn’t a mean girl or a mean streak. Even Kate’s co-host Victoria, who maybe wasn’t Kate’s idea of a friend, turned out to be pretty cool. And the cute romance bit is sweet and perfect for a summer read. I had a lot of fun losing myself in Kate’s adventure.

Enjoy!!
