Just a quick note that I’m going to ALA this weekend! All girls weekend here we come!
<gasp!> I know, I know.
I’m super excited to be going for lots of reasons.
Some of my best coolest booky-est friends are going with me!
We’re renting a house that has a pool!
I want to meet some authors and tell them I want to be their best friends! 😉
Road trip! My friends and I are driving from LA to Vegas.
It’s VEGAS! There will be some alcoholic beverages outside by the pool, a buffet and maybe some gambling. WOOHOO!
Did I mention the pool??
I’m not gonna lie. This group of friends and I have never been to Vegas before. So while I’m thinking this:

I’m so excited that you are going to ALA – you’ll have to tell me is it more YA focused or are there plenty of ADULT SFF books there as well?

I had a wonderful time.
It was plenty YA focused but there were lots of Adult SFF books there too But I think everyone is focusing on YA at the moment! Maybe one day we will go to the same one and we will meet!
There is usually a lot of YA, MG and childrens stuff at ALA. Adult stuff as well but genre stuff (UF, fantasy, romance, etc) are not as well represented IMO. Tor was there, which was nice but def more YA focused I think.
