Welcome! I haven’t participated in a Top Ten Tuesday in a long times and I’m happy to get back into it!
Thank you to the Broke and the Bookish for hosting!
This week’s question: Top Ten Books To Read if You’re In The Mood for…YA Contemporary Fiction!
So many choices, so many awesome books. So hard to pick only 10!
In no particular order:
These books hold such a space in my heart, I can’t even begin to talk about how I felt when I put them down.
After I read them, if I had an e-book copy, I went out and bought a hardcover because I love them so much.
All The Bright Places made me cry in public.
Eleanor & Park reminds me what it’s like to be different. And be okay with it.
When I finished Going Too Far, I picked it up again and started from the beginning.
Afterparty sent chills down my spine. We all have had those “friendships” in our lives.
The Sea of Tranquility broke my heart.
Side Effects May Vary was like watching yourself make bad decisions, and knowing you were doing it but couldn’t stop it.
Emmy & Oliver made me think about family.
First & Then was the P&P retelling I needed just at that moment. Different enough to love it and classic enough to feel safe about opening your heart.
I felt such a connection to the main character in Sean Griswold’s Head, an overachiever who color coordinates her files.
Open Road Summer is what I think being best friends with Taylor Swift is like (fantasy) and reminds me what it was like starting to date my musician husband (reality).
If you haven’t read some of these gems, please do! You’ll loose yourself in them all weekend!
Do you have some favorite Contemporary YA Fiction you’d like to share?
First of all, I love your layout for your blog. It’s beautiful. Honestly I’ve never heard of any of these books. I’ll have to check out one or two! Great job with today’s topic!
Thanks for stopping by earlier!
Thanks for visiting Kristine! 😀
I think I have only read Eleanor & Park. I am always so behind on contemp books. But this list is awesome for when I feel like a contemp read.
