To welcome in Autumn, with her red delicious apples, her golden brown leaves and firy pumpkins, I’ve decided to join the RIP VII reading challenge. You can find more about it here.
R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril challenge lasts from September 1st to October 31st.
I’ll be updating this post until October 31st so wish me luck!
My goal is:
Peril the First:
Read four books, any length, that you feel fit (the very broad definitions) of R.I.P. literature. It could be King or Conan Doyle, Penny or Poe, Chandler or Collins, Lovecraft or Leroux…or anyone in between.
Four books and I have a pretty great idea on what books I’m going to pick from:
As Dead As It Gets by Katie Alender
Asylum by Madeline Roux- DNF
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
Deep Betrayal by Anne Greenwood Brown
Beautiful Lies by Jessica Warman
The Thieftaker by D.B. Jackson
Snow White Must Die by Nele Neuhaus
Ashes on Waves by Mary Lindsey
Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by April Genevieve Tucholke
Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr
Sign ups are still open so if you want to participate, link up!
Good luck to you!
I really liked Miss Peregrine. The sequel is out soonish. Enjoy your books!
Thanks Kailana! I am excited to read them! I love this time of year!
I second Miss Peregrine. I finished it recently and WHAT a book. Phew.
Also, might I suggest getting a physical copy, if possible? Just the book itself is exquisite.
I’m going to have to check out the others on your list. 🙂 Happy reading!
Thanks Tanya! I can’t wait to read all of them! I have heard such good things about Miss Peregrine!
What a gorgeous blog! I love it!
Thanks for joining in on RIP this year, great to see your list of potential reads. I really enjoyed Miss Peregrine and am excited about the next book coming out soon.
