Review:

After book two’s cliffhanger, we are back with Connie and Cliff.
I’m not going to give anything away, but wow.
Things are getting good.

Connie is having some serious guilt issues, but like a junky, she can’t stay away from her drug. Cliff is clueless, but devoted and trying to find a way to make it work at all costs. He is finally seeing that things may not be as great as they once were, and Cliff’s love for Connie makes me like him even more.

Am I a fan of Connie? Nope. But she’s more of a sympathetic character by now, and the last line in the book makes me think I’ll feel a lot warmer towards her in the next installment.

Ivy is having her own adventures with the enemy and I find her encounters to be even more sexy than Mellors and Connie.
The writing is still well done, the scenes steamy. And in my opinion, at least Ivy and Tommy have personalities. They may not be nice people, but they’re far more interesting to me than Connie and Mellors.

Also, perhaps if the four installments were read as one book, the drag of book two may not have beenĀ noticeableĀ at all.

Overall, things are heating up! I can’t wait to see what happens!
