Review:

Natalie is in trouble. After searching for her biological parents through a private investigator, she is surprised to find a very handsome Russian in her house. Could this be the same Russian she just tried to pick up at the bar? With his tattoos, hard glare, heavy accent and large muscles? Yep, yep it is. And what is he doing in her apartment? Oh, he’s kidnapping her to take her to her biological father who is a mafia boss and her life may be in danger? They’re going to Russia? And oh, did I mention he is hot in a rugged, panty dropping way?

That about sums up the beginning of The Professional, Part I by Kresley Cole, the beginning of her first erotica series. I love Cole’s YA series, The Arcana Chronicles, so I was eager to try this new one. (I have not read her paranormal romance series, but I hear it’s fab.) And while the book is predictable and cheesy, it is everything a fun, erotica should be. There’s danger, hot men, a worn out yet suddenly rich and beautiful princess (almost!) and an alpha male who is sexy, dark and just a wee bit controlling. But I’m not complaining.

This book is fun. It’s easy to see what’s coming and honestly, there’s not a whole lot of character development. But that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. The chemistry is pretty heavy between the two main characters. I prefer my erotica with a little more emotional weight, but this is a fun start to a fast paced book and I have to admit I couldn’t put it down.

For anyone looking for a fun, blushing hot ride, The Professional Part I is for you.

I might have downloaded part II when I was done. I mean, seriously, that’s how you end this book? Of course I want to know what happens!
