Review:
Or are they?
What a fun romance!
I haven’t read the other Probst stories in this series and I’m happy to say that as a new reader, you don’t have to. Jump right in and begin!
Carina is a firecracker. I liked her personality, her self assurance and her vulnerable side. I was less impressed by Max. He’s gorgeous, of course, and emotionally unavailable. But Max lacked the mystery, the depth that some other leading men have and while the scenes were hot and heavy, I wasn’t sold on Max.
Also, I thought it was funny that the book is called the Marriage Mistake, but the actual marriage didn’t happen until 3/4 of the way through the book. This was a great choice. It really gave the reader time to get to know Max and Carina and see them as dueling forces of nature.
Overall, the story is fun, light and a quick read. (I enjoyed it happily on a flight across country.)
