Review:
Nora and the other employees are whisked away to Kingsley’s estate where they find that one of their own has been attacked. While business stops until the maniac is caught, Nora knows she can’t stop her business. Her clients are too important, too needy and she must continue on. So Kingsley hires a bodyguard for her – Lance.
The second installment is more story and less steamy. But not in a bad way. I got a better sense of Lance by what he is and what he isn’t saying. I also really liked the conversations between Nora and Lance when they spoke about Soren. Lance is different, not just against Sore, Kingsley and others, but he is a refreshing character all his own. I’m interested to see if this relationship is going to turn into one like Norah had in The Siren. Or if it’ll be something totally different. Lance is a very different male than one I have seen in this world before, and it’s easy to see why Nora is intrigued. And there are some funny moments when Nora learns she can’t bed Lance again. Or Kingsley will fire him!
Can’t wait to read the third installment tonight!
