Review:

Captivating. The third book in this series is spellbinding. I couldn’t stop reading it, slowly, savoring each word.

Annith has watched as girl after girl has been sent on missions for their father Death. And yet she remains uncalled. That is until the head Sister announces that Annith will be the new seeress, and stay within the walls of the convent. Furious over this news, Annith begins to truly come into herself and what she learns about herself, the convent and Death himself will astonish readers.

Love Love Love Love.

I love the series. Grave Mercy was wonderful, pulling me into the world. Dark Triumph was edgy, uncomfortable and heartbreaking. And now Annith is the struggle of the underdog, the girl who wants to show her worth. And I’m so proud of her. LaFevers does it again by creating a world of usuch intensity and color the reader is instantly transported into this place so far from our everyday life. The trials and tribulations of Annith are not just that of this character, but of any girl then and now who fight to leave home. Who want to show their worth. Who are more than what others believe them to be.

I don’t want to ruin anything for you but I loved the love story, which develops slowly over the fast paced plot. I love the twists even though I guessed many of them, it did not make it less enjoyable. And there are some references to Book Two and characters from that story that are wonderful because it gives the reader some closure to open threads.

Now that the trilogy has ended, I can’t wait to go back and start at the beginning.
