Review:

Inez Sanchez is promised a job with flexibility and tons of cash in a short amount of time. Sounds too good to be true? She has to help billionaire architect Sven van der Meer navigate his social life for four days, proving to the world he is still the capable and amazing artist he is. And hiding the fact that is going blind.

Sven needs a girl who can pretend to be his girlfriend for four days. But he doesn’t count on Inez, her fiery personality and her amazing curves. But can he get past his own demons to let her in? And what secrets are Inez hiding?

Yeah, not gonna lie. I didn’t have high hopes for this one. I mean, I bought it off of one of those Facebook ads that was saying it was a good read. I did look it up on Goodreads and noticed the stellar reviews, but sometimes folks, you just never know. I figured it was cheap and I was in the mood for some romance and a HEA so why not?

I devoured it in one day.

Truth.

Inez is pretty awesome with aa smart mouth saying what she’s feeling and really letting he rich guys have it. I love how she responds to Sven, because she is not impressed by him. At All. Which makes Sven like her. Duh. And I love Sven who is used to getting his way but has suddenly realized he’s more vulnerable than he thought he was. Not just because his eyesight is failing him, or his “friends” are sharks, but also because Inez gets under his skin. And he’s surprised because no one has ever done that to him.

There’s some sexy steamy scenes which will keep readers panting, but there’s also a lot of romance in this book. I really enjoyed reading about each character’s insecurities and how the author shaped them into complex and interesting people.

There’s  a lot to enjoy in Closer. I’ll def. be reading more by this author! In fact, I might have just downloaded the second book in the series. It’s not a continuation of Sven and Inez. I’m looking forward to seeing how this new couple find each other!
