Edelweiss review
Review:
The vampire happened when Nicole Martin was only 8 years old, and she has been scarred forever. Riker, a vampire with nothing to lose, is on a mission to use Nicole as leverage to gain something invaluable to his clan. Little does he know what is in store for him, or how Nicole is going to wake him up.
I love Larissa Ione’s Demonica series. In fact, it’s what I call my crossover series. It’s the first paranormal romance series I read, and now, obviously, I can’t stop!
So I was thrilled to get my hands on an early copy of Bound By Night.
Riker is a tortured, ruthless and hot. He’s what every girl wants when they think of the bad boy with a heart of gold. Nicole is fiesty and really smart. I mean, she’s an actual scientist. I really like that about her. I love smart heroines. I mean, really peeps. Smart ladies need strong, vampire love too!
The story moves pretty fast. There are a lot of characters, both in Riker’s clan and the rival clan. It’s easy to see who the main characters in the next book will be and that’s great because I was already invested in them by the time I was done reading this one. There are also some really world building, vampire history, where they came from and the beginning scene of the vampire rebellion is wonderfully scary and raw. There’s no debate over where Nicole’s fear of vampires comes from.
Overall, it’s a strong start to a very promising series!
