I prefer a series…. I love the torture of a fabulous series and having to wait for the next book!
You are so brave! I am usually biting my nails in anticipation! 🙂 Good luck!
I LOVE your blog! I really seriosuly do…. I love teh dark background with the writing on it…. just love it! I am grabbing your button to post on my blog….. i do not have one for my reading blog as of yet, but I will be posting a button on my health, beauty, and lifestyle blog http://deliciouslysavvy.com…. visit me there some time! Thanks for the kind words Melissa. I’m glad you like my blog! I will be sure to check yours out! 🙂
I am a series junkie and when I start a new one I will read all that are available at the time. Although I will admit I hate the wait for new books. I also don’t like to start a series until at least two to three books are available since I am a bit impatient. I do read stand alones too just not as often as series.
I totally agree! I like to start the series when there’s at least two books! I know I will just want to keep going! Good luck!
I really like series because I know that there is another book at the end of the one so I can read more.
Yes! It is something to look forward to. Thank you for enterting! Good luck!
A majority of my reading is series….and I’m totally OCD about them…I HAVE to start from book 1–even if I win or am given a later book in the series.
Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

Elizabeth! Good to see you! Yes, me too! I have to start with Book One. Even if it’s a mystery series and the mysteries are stand alones, I have to start at the beginning. I’m afraid I’ll miss something! haha! Good luck!
I read a lot of series. So I sometimes get series fatigue so stand alones are a great change 🙂 thanks for sharing an awesome giveaway!
Thanks for entering Erin! I agree. I usually have to read a stand alone between series books. Otherwise, I forget what happened in each book and they all blend together! Good luck!
It really depends. If I like the characters and there is tension–like sexual tension–between characters that I want to see continue, then YES I prefer series. If it’s a mystery or adventure, I don’t want to wait until the next book to find out what happened.
Cindi, Great thought! I agree. Especially for mysteries. I really want to know what happens by the end of the book! Happy Reading and good luck!
It really depends on the story. If I’m hooked on the first book, I always want more time with the world and the characters.
True. Good luck and thank you for entering!
I love both!
Thanks for the chance to win!
Thanks for entering Natasha! Good luck!
I really like a good series. I usually get so into the book that if it isn’t a series I will finish the stand alone and make up in my head how it should continue for a better story line.
Haha! I do that too sometimes. I am always sad if something seems unfinished at the end and I try to make up a HEA. 🙂 Good luck!
I don’t really have a preference between series and stand-alones. As long as they’re good books – I’m happy!! Thanks for the awesome giveaways!
Thanks for entering! Good luck!!
Either or. I think if there is potential to make a series longer than I’m all for it, but it has to keep me engaged (i.e., not repeating the same scenario over and over or a standstill plot line). I think if a book can be accomplished in 300 to 500 pages than it shouldn’t be a series. Authors/Publishers need to know when to end a series. Otherwise, they risk losing their audience. Thanks for the giveaway!
Totally! I don’t know how many trilogies I’ve read where it’s obvious that it should have been a stand alone or it could have been made into a two books instead of three. I wish Publishers/Authors would stop trying to MAKE books into series, because not all of them are. Great answer! Good luck!
I prefer a series, if it’s written well. But I’d rather read one good stand alone than six mediocre books in a series. Thanks for the giveaway!
Jillyn,
Totally agreed! 🙂
Good luck
Most of the time I prefer stand alone’s, because I’m not always able to get the entire series and it makes me feel like I’ve been left hanging, not knowing how it all ended. Thanks for having the giveaway.
Hi Anita! You’re one of the few so far that said they like stand alones! That’s pretty awesome! I have to say that some days I’m really tired of series. I like to readstand alones in between series so I don’t get too bored. Great thought! Happy Reading!!
I like both of course. But I do enjoy a good book series, I just HATE waiting a year for the next one. It’s torture. Especially if it’s left me with a cliffhanger. Thank you for the giveaway. It’s a fabulous one.
Misti, I really hate waiting a year. Sometimes, a book comes out and I actually wait to read it until the next one is released so I know I have at least two books to read. I can forget what happened in the last book so it’s better if I read them right after each other! Good luck!!
I love good standalone books. I also love series book too. One thing I don’t like about series books though is when I finish a book and have to wait what seems like forever for the next one to be released.
Thanks for the amazing giveaway!
You are so welcome! Good luck!
I prefer standalones, but it definitely depends on the book. Thanks for the great giveaway! Happy October! 🙂
Good luck Angela! happy Reading!
I think I like series the best because I don’t get go of characters easily. I do love stand alones too though because of the short resolution.
Jenn, totally agreed. I love staying with good characters! Good luck and thanks for entering!
I love both! But when it comes to series..I have to wait for a year for the next one =[
I hate waiting! I am anxious for Champion by Marie Lu right now. Can’t wait for that one. And the last Veronica Roth book. AhH! Why do we have to wait so long? Good luck!
Mhh. I really enjoy both series and stand alones, so it kind of depends what mood I’m in. I usually prefer series though. I’m not sure why. I just hate it when books end. Especially when I read a book that’s AMAZING. Like having the story continue on just prolongs the sadness of it ending, but I feel like you can add more details in the story too because it’s not all crammed in 300+ pages. But then there’s the wait for the next book, and that’s just as bad. I mean I got through like the 5 stages of grief when a book ends, or when I have to wait a year or more for the sequel to come out. But I do enjoy stand alones too.
Ariel! Totally know what you mean. I am always really sad to wait for the next book, and then by the time it comes out- it’s like – I FORGOT what was in the last books! 🙂
Happy Reading!
